We provide inclusive compassionate care

Our Philosophy

Stuart Park Neighborhood Child Care Centre (SPCCC) is a community-based education and care service for families of children aged from six months to five years. We are a non profit organization. Our management and educators are committed to providing a high-quality service for all children and families. The Centre has been an integral part of the Stuart Park community for 35 years and has strong ties with other services that assist children and families.

Our
Philosophy

Communication

We practise shared decision-making through consistent communication with families. This strengthens respectful relationships with families; encourages families’ involvement; promotes better sense of community having shared understanding; and provides opportunities for community participation (Bronfenbrenner). Enjoying workplace, good teamwork. Collaboration and open communication.

Care & Compassion

We are committed to creating spaces and atmosphere that support children’s potential in all developmental areas while ensuring safe, secure and stimulating environment (NQS3) for positive, fun and nurturing (Skinner) learning experiences. Healthy meals with balance nutrition. Introduction of different types of food through varied menu. Everyone is warm, friendly and strives to keep everyone happy. Filled with love and respect.

Guidance

Every child is unique and develops at their own pace (Piaget). They learn through play and social interactions (Vygotsky), taking risks in their early years (Sandseter). We balance child-led and teacher-led experiences, offering extensions to spontaneous play (Dewey). Our goal is to create exciting experiences and provide learning opportunities that sustain children’s interests.

Inclusiveness

We embrace cultural diversity by collaborating with families to honor each child’s background and traditions (Bronfenbrenner). We involve children in shaping their environment, promoting choice and independence, while adapting our teaching to diverse learning styles (Gardner). Our welcoming atmosphere fosters multicultural participation, including Indigenous culture, as we work together as one family.

SPCCC has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, feeling like a second family to us. The dedicated educators, management, and staff are not only friendly and professional but also highly skilled in creating a nurturing environment that prioritizes the children’s well-being and happiness. The center’s exceptional outdoor facilities provide ample opportunities for our kids to explore and engage in physical activity, which they thoroughly enjoy.

SPCCC feels like a family. The educators, management and all staff are friendly, skilled and professional, and work hard to create a safe and caring environment for our kids. The Centre also has great grounds for lots of outdoor play, which the kids love. Both of my children have been very happy at SPCCC.

We have been SPCCC family for four years and have had two children at the centre. Staff are warm and approachable and love our children like their own. We are so grateful for the excellent care and attention our children have received and know they could not be in better hands
